We are excited to share that we have an upcoming workshop designed to provide valuable information about understanding your child's Reading DIBELS scores and ways families can support reading development at home. We will also share resources to assist our middle school learners and their families in promoting continued learning. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy good food while gaining important insights and resources. Jambalaya, white beans, and drinks will be served. We encourage all parents to attend and bring your students along to this event. We look forward to seeing you there!

The new book vending machine has our students excited about reading! With the help of school fundraisers and a generous donation by Richard and Claire Manship, students at Rougon are strengthening their reading skills by increasing their independent reading time. To get books from the vending machine, students use tokens, which are earned by achieving the highest Accelerated Reader points in their grade level. The more books students read, the more points they can earn. This innovative and creative initiative fosters a love for reading and encourages literacy in an engaging way. Pictured below are school administrators with our top readers for the month of September – Parker Juge, Liniya Hurst, Aaliyah Leonard, Rhylei Roberts, and Myasia Roberts. #rougonproud
