We are excited to open the application window for new students for the 2026–2027 school year! Families may access the application using the following link: https://tinyurl.com/SMA26-27
Applications will be accepted from January 5 through February 6 and are open to students currently in grades 2–11. Applicants must meet the school’s academic and behavioral admission requirements.
Families whose children currently attend a private school, homeschool program, or an out-of-district school must submit the following in order for the application to be reviewed:
• A current report card (at least two grading periods or the fall semester)
• A current disciplinary record
• Proper proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage statement, or similar document showing parent/guardian name and address)
Documents may be uploaded in the application form, emailed to sma.office@pcpsb.net, or delivered in person to our campus.

Get Cozy, Eagles! It’s time to trade in those school uniforms for your favorite holiday spirit wear! This Thursday, it's Christmas Pajama Day. Whether it's one of your classic flannel sets or your favorite holiday-themed PJs, we want to see them! All students can participate regardless of PBIS status.
STEM Christmas Family Night is almost here! Join us on December 11 from 6:00 PM–7:30 PM for a magical evening filled with holiday cheer and hands-on STEM fun! 🎄

Reminder: The State Department of Education deems a child truant if they miss more than five days without an excuse. Parents are allowed to turn in 5 "hand written" notes per semester to excuse a child's absence. These are days that are not excused by a doctor's note. Tomorrow is World Kindness Day! To celebrate, students may participate in $1 Casual Dress!
Custom kindness shirts, bright colors, and anything that spreads positivity are highly encouraged.

Join us for Bougie on the Bayou, our middle school fall dance this November 15th! This outdoor event is open to all SMA students in grades 6 through 8. Tickets are $10 and include soft drinks and snacks. Tickets to the dance can be purchased at schoolcashonline.com.
👗This is a semi-formal event, which means not too casual and not too fancy.
👦🏾Guests from other schools are welcome, but a guest permission form must be completed and approved prior to the dance. The deadline for guest forms is Thursday, November 13.

To show our support for our Veterans Day Celebration tomorrow, students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue according to their grade level! Shirts may be worn with non-uniform bottoms.
3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th – Red

5th, 8th, 11th – Blue

Good evening Eagle families. Tomorrow kicks off our first PBIS Free Dress Day for November! Students who did not receive a write-up during the month of October may participate!
PBIS Status: If a student received an official write-up, a discipline letter was sent home and returned signed by a parent. Students can also check their discipline status by accessing their OnCourse account.
