Due to the incident at Livonia, students at Livonia will be dismissed early today. Bus riders will be dismissed as soon as all buses arrive around 10:00. Carpool parents will be able to pick up carpool students in the carpool area at 10:30 once buses leave campus.

*LHS* Effective immediately, students are not allowed to bring cell phones to school. Effective immediately, students are strictly prohibited from bringing headphones, earbuds, or any similar listening devices to school premises. Effective immediately and until further notice, students are prohibited from bringing book bags or backpacks onto campus. Students must bring their school-issued laptops (personal laptops, tablets, etc., are prohibited), as assignments will be accessible through Microsoft Teams and OnCourse platforms. Students in possession of ABC LEAP workbooks are required to bring these to school. We are implementing new arrival procedures to ensure a safe and orderly campus entry (1) School buses will unload one at a time under staff direction. (2) Teachers who operate buses will have priority and unload their students first. Our established checkpoint procedures will continue as usual to maintain campus security. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these new guidelines to ensure a safe learning environment for all.

Update Bracing for Cold Weather: Important Notice for Livonia High School As students prepare to return to class on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Livonia High School (LHS) is alerting families and staff about the upcoming week of cold weather. Forecasts predict daily temperatures starting near freezing, with highs not expected to surpass the 40s. To ensure student comfort and safety, LHS reminds the community of the following guidelines from the 2024-2025 dress code and encourages appropriate preparations: Student Uniform Guidelines * Khaki pants * Hoodless sweatshirts in school-approved colors * Coats or jackets of any color or print (must be hoodless) * Knit caps, earmuffs, and gloves (for outdoor use only) (wool caps or tams, not baseball caps) * Jackets must be free of profane and/or suggestive language and pictures * Uniform shirts or principal-approved spirit shirts must be worn under sweatshirts or jackets Recommendations for Parents * Ensure students are dressed warmly each day with approved clothing items * Provide students with caps, earmuffs, and gloves for outdoor use * Confirm uniform compliance while prioritizing warmth Guidelines for School Staff * Limit outdoor activities when daytime temperatures are below 50°F * Plan alternative indoor activities to keep students engaged and comfortable LHS appreciates the cooperation of all families in adhering to these guidelines and ensuring student wellbeing during this cold weather period.

Students will be dismissed at 1:00 PM on Tuesday through Thursday and have no school on Friday. Students that are taking EOCs (tests) must check with Ms. Tanya or Mrs. Bradley to ensure they are present on test days. If students missed any exams, they will need to be present to make up these tests.
