Last week, seniors at Livonia High School took part in the Crime Stoppers Beyond Bars Program, a powerful initiative that helps students understand the real-life consequences of their choices.
Vetted trustees Desmond and Reshawn shared candid, first-hand testimonies about their past decisions and how those choices impacted their lives. Their openness gave students an honest look at the realities of crime, the cost of poor decisions, and the importance of making positive choices for their future. By speaking so transparently about their mistakes and growth, they offered our seniors meaningful lessons and encouragement to learn from the experiences of others.
Programs like Beyond Bars are designed to spark conversations, inspire change, and remind students that every decision matters. We are grateful to Desmond and Reshawn for their courage in sharing their stories and investing in the next generation of leaders. We also extend a sincere thank you to Capital Region Crime Stoppers for dedicating their time, expertise, and resources to support the safety and success of our youth.
