Pointe Coupee Parish Schools is celebrating three outstanding educators who have been selected for the Louisiana Department of Education’s 2026–2027 Aspiring Principal Fellowship: Mrs. Alisa Brown, Mrs. Priscilla Temple, and Mrs. Nikki Torres. The year-long fellowship is designed to develop school leadership through coaching, residency-based experiences, and focused professional learning in instructional leadership, school operations, and organizational effectiveness.
Three educators recognized
Brown, Temple, and Torres were selected for the fellowship because of their strong instructional backgrounds, leadership potential, and commitment to student success. In their current roles within Pointe Coupee Parish Schools, each has contributed to academic growth, stronger instruction, and positive school cultures across the district.
Fellowship goals
As members of the Aspiring Principal Fellowship, the three educators will take part in leadership coaching, residency-based experiences, and professional learning designed to strengthen their skills as instructional leaders. The program will help them deepen their understanding of school leadership while continuing to serve students, staff, and families in Pointe Coupee Parish.
During the fellowship year, Brown, Temple, and Torres will continue building their capacity to support teachers, strengthen instructional systems, and foster positive school cultures. Their goals include expanding their leadership skills and developing strategies that will benefit students, staff, and the broader Pointe Coupee Parish community.
