Burgess and Henderson

New Roads, Louisiana.

This year's testing timeline is now well underway.

On Monday, our high schools continued administering LEAP EOC 2026 testing and will continue throughout the week; the following week, from Wednesday, April 29th through Wednesday, May 6th, our elementary and junior-high schools will start their LEAP 2026 testing, with all state testing across the district concluding on May 15th.

Tanya Burgess and Tomika Henderson have been the hands guiding our district through another year of state testing preparations. Pictured here reviewing the detailed testing schedule, their collaboration exemplifies the precision and work that goes into ensuring every student has a fair, supportive, and well-organized testing experience.

Burgess, as the District Testing Supervisor, and Henderson, as the District Guidance Counselor, verifies dates, room assignments, accommodations, and make-up sessions across all campuses. Their work protects instructional time by minimizing disruptions and maintains the security and integrity of the testing process. They have also worked with schools to ensure that students receive coordinated academic and emotional support resources. This collaboration aims to equip students with the necessary preparation and confidence to succeed.
