Last night was truly unforgettable! Our stadium dedication ceremony for Patrick brought together the very best of Pointe Coupee: students, coaches, teachers, principals, community leaders, friends, and family all standing proud to celebrate one of our own. Patrick was welcomed home, surrounded by his greatest supporters, his hometown community.
The ceremony began with an outstanding performance by the Livonia cheerleaders and Wildcat Prowlers, followed by a moving rendition of our National Anthem from SMA’s own Dallin Variest.
One of the evening’s defining moments was the official retirement of Patrick’s high school number #8, paired with the unveiling of the new stadium sign bearing his name. To close the celebration, Mr. Bayoumi announced plans to propose to the board that October 8 be officially declared Patrick Queen Day.
The night will remain a lasting memory for all who attended. The energy, pride, and excitement in the air made it a historic evening for SMA and the entire Pointe Coupee community.
