UPCE Head Start & Pre-K Students Celebrate Mardi Gras in Batchelor

The Krewe of the Baby Bulldogs held their own Mardi Gras parade at UPCE the week before Fat Tuesday.  Their 2017 theme was “Fairy Tales, Where Dreams Come True.” One-of-a-kind masks were created for masquerading; students were dressed up as different characters and rode in decorated wagons and floats.  They threw various trinkets to students, faculty, staff, family and friends whose voices could be heard shouting, “Throw Me Something Mister.”  In the tradition of Mardi Gras, New Orleans style music was played and a cool cup of punch was available to wash down the purple, green and gold KING CAKE that was served as part of the Mardi Gras tradition. UPCE would like to thank the Batchelor and surrounding communities for their support and are hopeful that everyone will attend this annual school event in 2018!
