At STEM Magnet Academy, 4th grade students in Mrs. Langland’s science classes have been learning about weathering and erosion. Students have planned and conducted investigations related to the different causes of drastic land loss over time in Louisiana. They have also compared solutions that state and local leaders have implemented in response to our vanishing coast. Mrs. Templeton’s ELA classes studied a unit on hurricanes; during social studies, they tracked Tropical Storm Gordon. The future of Louisiana is looking bright with these future leaders and problem solvers!
