Last week, Valverda celebrated Red Ribbon Week to raise awareness of the destruction caused by drugs in America. Students participated in daily activities to show they are taking a stand against drugs!
Students "socked it to drugs" on Tuesday by wearing silly socks and enjoying a magic show. On Wednesday, students wore bright shirts and sunglasses, because they are “too bright for drugs!” Students were "Heroes" and "Teamed Up" against drugs on Thursday by being superheroes and team players. On Friday, students showed their support for Red Ribbon Week by wearing a red shirt and being "Red-y" to take a stand against drugs.
