Ms. JoAnn Hebert’s sixth grade students applied their Force and Motion content knowledge to open a series of locks in a “Breakout” session. In a breakout session, each box has a puzzle that needs to be solved by using a series of locks. The students worked collaboratively to solve their critical thinking puzzles so they could open the final locked box. To add to the intensity of the force and motion puzzles, the students needed to “Breakout” in less than forty-five minutes. Students were successful in their breakout session with four minutes to spare.
