First-grade students in Ms. Rachelle Richard’s classroom receive a marble to place in a jar every time most of the class is able to follow instructions. On Thursday, September 21, 2017, her students were excited that the marble jar was filled; they had met their first goal of the school year! Their reward was a visit from Ms. Francois, a nursing student at Our Lady of the Lake College. Ms. Francois talked to the students about the importance of taking care of their bodies and engaged the students in an interactive lesson on parts of the body. Students enjoyed every aspect of Ms. Francois’ visit, especially the dance she taught them to help them remember the parts of the body.
