On Thursday, March 30th the Rosenwald Family went ”Wild About Reading” during the school’s Family Literacy Night. The event showcased literacy being used across the curriculum. The evening began by bringing Maurice Sendak's “Where the Wild Things Are” to life. Teachers Ingrid Nelson, LaMonica Edwards, Samantha Slim, and Theola Hines, took on the role of wild things, and 4th grader Tylon Louis played the part of Max. Families then rotated to the different literacy stations that were set up in the gym. Some of the stations visited by students included, Farming the Waters; World of Wonder; Bugs Rule; and Farm Gate to Dinner Plate. We could not be more pleased with our families' participation. Everyone had a wild time!
